This page sets out the criteria and process to submit a proposal for a Pre-Conference Workshop at the AES 2011 International Conference, “Evaluation and Influence”.
Please review the entire page and ensure that you have all the information requested available to you prior to completing the form. Incomplete submissions cannot be forwarded for independent peer review. Each workshop facilitator, whether involved alone or jointly, is limited to proposing a maximum of three pre-conference workshops.
There are no set themes for the Pre-Conference workshops.
Separate criteria will be used for the assessment of abstracts for conference presentations and proposals for workshops, both Pre-Conference Workshops.

Proposals are to be written in English and must be expressed in clear, accessible and grammatically correct language.
Please provide the Title and a Justification Statement for your proposal when submitting.
The Proposal and Justification Statement will be sent to reviewers for assessment and, if accepted, the facilitator may be asked to edit thembeforeinclusion in the Conference Program.
Please follow the format of the Proposal Content Guide for a Pre-Conference Workshop given below, and ensure that the proposal is correct in content, expression and presentation.
The content of your Proposal for a Pre-Conference Workshop should describe:
You should address the Criteria for Workshops (1) to (5) in preparing your abstract.
The Justification Statement deals with the workshop’s relevance to evaluation and the importance of what you are proposing. Please justify the workshop with up to 100 words.

Step 1: Read the Criteria for Assessment of Proposals & Proposal Content Guidelines above for the submission of proposals and write your proposal.
Step 2: Download the Pre-Conference Proposal Template and insert/add your text. Save as a .doc document to your computer.
Please note: Proposals must not exceed 400 word limit
Step 3: Click on the button below to complete the Proposal Submission Form. It will be necessary to attach/upload the .doc copy of your Proposal. You will be prompted to submit your Justification statement during this process as a separate document.
NOTE: Please print a copy of the submission form for your records prior to clicking ‘upload’.
Notifications of acceptance will be sent via e-mail to the Pre-Conference Workshop facilitator at the end of April 2011.
The Conference Managers will not be held responsible for submissions not received via the website or for submission errors caused by Internet service outages, hardware or software delays, power outages or unforeseen events.
The workshop facilitator will be required to register for the Conference. Deadline for presenting facilitator registration is 31 May 2011. Failure to do so will result in exclusion from the program.
